The GSI AUDIOSCREENER - OVERVIEW
Guymark

The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is a revolutionary hearing screening device, combining the two-in-one technology of otoacoustic emissions (OAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR) in a hand-held, PC-free, simple-to-operate device. Its unique versatility allows it to be used both in hospital and physician office settings. AUDIOscreener is available as an ABR only unit, OAE only unit or as a combination unit.

Key Features

OAE & ABR

Distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR) tests are combined in a portable hand-held device, easily interchangeable with the touch of a single button.

High-Volume Screening
The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is designed to be used by minimally-trained staff (e.g. technician or volunteer), allowing for rapid and easy high-volume screening across multiple locations.

Versatile
The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is designed to test newborns, children, adults, the elderly and all difficult-to-test patients.

Portable

The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is a hand-held battery-operated hearing screening device designed to fit in the pocket of a lab coat.

Wireless Data Transmittal
Up to 300 test records can either be wirelessly transmitted via an Infrared Port to a desktop computer or printer for clear, concise, easy-to-read, full-page reports.

Real Ear Calibration
Real ear calibration for both OAE and ABR helps promote total screening accuracy.

Limited OAE & ABR Diagnostic
Certain OAE and ABR diagnostic data is gathered to help ensure that no child with a hearing impairment goes undetected and to reduce the incidence of "false positive" results (children with normal hearing who receive Refer results). Data can be read by an audiologist.

Probes or Comfort Cups
The GSI AUDIOscreener™ can be used to perform an ABR test using either probes that are inserted into the patient's ear canal or the GSI Comfort Cups that are secured over the patient's ear.

Hospital Specific
In addition to the above key features, the following features are specific to the hospital market.

Comfort Cups™
Comfort Cups™ provide a non-invasive ABR screening accessory that makes newborn hearing screening quicker and easier than ever before.

Universal Ear tips
The Universal Infant Ear Tip is a practical solution to cost-effective infant hearing screening. It provides the user with three graduated sizes all in one, making it easy to pick up a tip and begin screening. It is designed to be used on babies from the smallest weight up to the largest babies, producing fast and accurate results.

Physician Specific

In addition to the above features, the following are specific to the physician market.

Objective Screening
The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is an objective hearing screening device producing easy and quick results with minimal patient participation.

Guymark

Cost-Effective
The GSI AUDIOscreener™ is a cost-effective revenue producing device that allows pediatricians to provide a unique service to their families.

Time Savings
OAE screening only takes 20 seconds per ear, saving valuable testing time while producing an additional cost savings benefit.
