Keeping an Ear on the Noise Level and Seeing What You Hear
Noise has become a nuisance to more and more people – but you do not have to put up with uncomfortable, annoying or detrimental noise levels any longer. SoundEar gives you the ultimate noise abatement tool and shows you care. Guymark
The SoundEar range of indicators allow everybody to see when noise levels are too high for a particular environment. From a designated quiet area to a noisy machine shop, from classrooms to discotheques, for pubs, clubs and concert halls. Designed for wall-mounting at a height of approximately 2 metres the SoundEar gives a clear visual indication for everybody to see and will frequently become the object of much discussion.
Guymark Where Health & Safety rules apply a level of 85dB(A) is known as the “First Action Level” and hearing protection should be considered if this persists all day. 90dB(A) all day, then hearing protection is compulsory or unprotected exposure is limited to 8 hours, 93dB(A) 4hours unprotected, 96dB(A) 2 hours, 99db(A) 1 hour, 102dB(A) 30 minutes, 105db(A) 15 minutes, 108dB(A) 7 minutes, 111dB(A) 3 minutes, 114dB(A) 1 minute.
Adjustable between 40 and 115dB(A) in 5dB(A) steps to suit all areas, applications and environments. To give some examples of sound levels – normal conversation is around 60dB(A), an ideal classroom level would be in the order of 45dB(A).
Sound Ear
The same as the SoundEar 2000 model except that it has a choice of two preset levels, 85 or 105dB(A). Both models are low voltage operated from a supplied mains power adapter.

Guymark Pocket Ear
For personal use, this neat little battery operated device can be set to 65, 85 or 105dB(A). At the push of a button you can check the noise levels for yourself.
Sound Buster
The ultimate in sound control. SoundBuster used in conjunction with either SoundEar or SoundEar 2000 will switch off the power to designated items of equipment when the selected maximum sound level has been reached or exceeded for 5 continuous seconds. A manual reset button restores power.
